Brett Alan Tucker was born on 21.may.1972 in Melbourne as son of Ken and Janice Tucker. Together with his siblings Nicky, Mark and David he grew up in the Yarra Valley.
At the age of 21 he moved from the country to Melbourne into a city to pursue his dream of acting.
He graduated of Melbourne’s National Theatre Drama School in 1996.
The 6 feet 2 inches tall actor started his career as TV and movie actor at the series Snowy River.
After acting in series like State Coroner, Blue Heelers and Thunderstone or movies like Code Red, Mallboy or Backlands Brett Tucker acted at the series The Saddle Club one of the main characters.
The mother of his series character was acted by Catherine Wilkin, she played Liz Ryan as the series McLeod´s Daughters.
Growing up in the Yarra Valley Brett is a great horse-rider and loves the opportunity the role of Max Regeney at the Saddle Club gives him to ride.
Acting a small character at the movie the Great Raid means to Brett Tucker working together with Benjamin Bratt and Josef Finnes.
He bought a house in St Kilda just before he moved to Adelaide for his role on McLeod´s Daughters.
From 2003 to 2006 he was for 100 episodes Dave Brewer at the series McLeod´s Daughters.
He left the series to apply himself more to the theatre. He acted in the theatre play The Woman in Black. He travelled Australia for six month with the play.
In 2007 Brett Tucker acted as a character named Daniel Fitzgerald in the series Neighbours. As the actress of his series partner got ill Michala Banas take over the character of Libby and played together with Brett Tucker a second time in a series afterwards McLeod´s Daughters.
Brett’s time at the series Neighbours ended in September 2009. He left to the USA. He won a Green Card and maybe he will start a big acting career there.
In 2010 he acted at the US series Legend of the Seeker, CSI: NY and CSI.
Like Bridie Carter he could be seen at the movie I Love You Too in 2010.
In 2011 he could be seen in the series Off the Map. The same year he played the Navy Lieutenant Commander Geoffrey Brett in the series NCIS.
In 2011 Brett Tucker acted in the episode Seventeen Ain´t So Sweet of the series Rizzoli & Isles.
In 2012 he played his first bigger character at a US series. He played Varinius at the series Spartacus.
In 2012 Brett Tucker acted a guest character at the series Castle. After the episode The Limey was aired there were opinion polls if Colin Hunt the character Brett Tucker played should be back or not.
In 2012 Brett Tucker is filming for the series Mistresses. He acted one of the male main characters in that series. The series should be aired in 2013.

One of his hobbies is playing the piano.
He is a cyclist, plays tennis, cricket, basketball, boxes and does snowboarding and was a better than average footballer until he broke his nose in a game. That happened one day of all days before an important audition.
