Lisa Irene Chappell was born at October, 18 1968 in Auckland, New Zealand, where she grew up with her parents Don and Jane, brother Loki and sister Katherine. She got her second name Irene from her grandmother.
In 1987 she played her first big character in the New Zealand TV series Gloss. She acted as the spoilt brat Chelsea. In the following time she moved to Sydney, where she ended a workshop called the Journey successfully at the Actor Center in the year 1999.
The 5 feet 10 inches tall actress played for example in “Desperate Remedies” and “Jack Brown Genius”.
Lisa Chappell went to the castings for the series McLeod´s Daughters. She got one of the main characters. From 2001 we could see her as Claire McLeod in the series. There was also the choice to let Lisa Chappell play the Tess McLeod, which was played by Bridie Carter at the end.
Lisa became a vegetarian after joining the cast of McLeod´s Daughters.
At the 21st birthday party from colleague Rachael Carpani Lisa Chappell met Chris Taylor. Lisa and Chris married in 2001. In 2005 they were divorced.
